With Darren and Jen out in Cali it's not very often the Estoque family can get together! This fun little shindig began just a couple of years ago, and hopefully it will continue. We rented a house down in sunny St. George, for a 3 night stay. A quick trip, but soooo much fun, with plenty to do!
Jen brought her sweet fiancée Chris, and Emily brought fun little Zac.....I am sure we will continue get bigger and bigger each year, this year we totaled 22. The only missing piece was Brandon, as he was working hard in D.C. to earn money for school. Proud of him! But wish we were complete!
Day #1: We swam all day, then went to Tuacahn to see Mary Poppins, and ended the evening with a Ping Pong tournament!
Day #2: Katelyn, Lauren and McKennah went to the temple (found out my recommend was expired! :( ) So instead...a few of us went golfing at Green Springs. It was GORGEOUS!
Later that day we held our 1st ever AMAZING RACE- Estoque style!
We divvied the up the teams amongst the crazy drivers, by choosing different colors of Laffy Taffy.
Team #1: Darren Ray (driver), Curtis, Jen, Lauren, and Ayden
Team #2: Steven (driver), Tina, Katelyn, Bailey, Amanda and Logan
Team #3: Darren Scott (driver), Chris (Jen's boy), Nate, Jaret and McKennah
Task #1: All teams had to assemble a puzzle that led them to their first destination the St. George Temple Visitor Center. There they had to locate the Book of Mormon that an "Estoque" should be able to read. Their clues were hidden in a Tagalog Book of Mormon.
Task #2: They were told to find "Dixie Rock" and the clue would be hidden under the letter that pertained to them.....the clues were hidden under the letter "E."
Task #3: Told them to find Sunset Elementary where they had to choose between the two clues either UNO's or TRES's. Uno's required everyone on your team to at least make one free throw each but a total of 20. Tres's required everyone on your team to "attempt" 3 times to make a 3 pointer, for a total of 12-- 4 from each baseline, and 4 from the top of the key.
Task #4: Had you run across the field to the park's bowery to identify 4 flavors of baby food. Carrots, Pears, Sweet Potatoes and Peas.
Task #5: Sent you off to Brigham Young's Winter Home where each team had to locate two Easter eggs of their team color hidden in the bushes among the perimeter of Brigham Young's home.
Task #6: Told them to go to Nielsen's Custard and alphabetize all the flavors of their concretes.
In which the first team done.....WON!
Inside the Easter eggs were $20 each....for a total of $40 dollars. Where they could buy everyone on their team a refreshing treat! At 114 degrees it was HOT, HOT, HOT!
Regardless....everyone had a good time.
So fun to see this little family of 7 grow into a party of 22! Love this family of mine, always happy to see each other, enjoy one another and root each other on.
