Eagle Scout in the house!

Cute little boy......no longer little.  My Logan is growing up!  Logan has been such a good example to his brothers.  From the minute he turned 8, he took the Scouting program seriously, and worked on it weekly.  He should have had his Eagle Scout by the time he was 13-- if it wasn't for the 6 month waiting periods for his Star, then his Eagle.  After his waiting....he lost his momentum a bit...but WE GOT IT DONE!!  WHOO HOO!!

We love good leaders.  Ryan Healey was the reason we found this event!  Ryan's mother has Parkinson's Disease, and they started Pedal Away Parkinson's 7 yrs ago!  It's a fun 10 mile family fun ride through west Kaysville.  They had about 300 participants in the ride and many more volunteers.

We provided two drink/first aid/bike repair stations along the bike route.  Steve and his family came to join the fun!  And were we ever grateful!!

Sweet Tina and her ever so important FOOD HANDLERS PERMIT, helped us cut bananas, and oranges for the bikers when they finished.

.........And she also helped out with our snow cone station as well!

Reason to celebrate!  Logan did awesome.  He spent hours passing out flyers on all the 4th of July parade routes, called area businesses for donations.....Macey's donated cups/spoons, Walmart donated Snow Cone Syrup, Bowman's donated ice, The Biker's edge donated bike repair items, and Tyler Elmore lent Logan his bike pump!

Grateful for this boy, such a good, responsible young man, worthy of the award of Eagle Scout.  Made this seem so easy, proud of you my Wittle Wo!

Jen and Darren come to visit

My brother Darren Ray and sister Jen came to party in Utah for the weekend.  Darren Ray has been out there for 12 yrs, and Jen about 10.  They have only been out a handful of times.  So time with them is precious!  Visits far and few, and not a whole lot of time......so we packed their schedule full of family fun!

Day #1 - They went to a free Reggae Fest in Park City.  We, of course got out of the office too late to go.

Day #2 - Movie night under the stars at the Capitol....The Muppet Movie, one of my fave's!

Day #3 - Hanging out at Jordanelle with the Dong Family.

We rented 3 Jet Skis,  wind was crazy and the water was so choppy we almost immediately regretted it!  We waited it out, and it ended up being quite the blessing--  the wind cleared out the crowd and we had the entire lake pretty much to ourselves!

Day #4 - Lastly,  had a family dinner at Mom and Dad's.

Visit was super short but definitely sweet!  Jen and Darren packed up and left the next day.  Sad to see them go.

Rodeo.....VIP's!

We spend quite a bit of money on advertising through the Standard Examiner....so our representative, sweet little Mitzi,  HOOKED US UP  with VIP tickets to the Ogden Pioneer Rodeo.   Soooo, soooo much fun!  I have never been to a rodeo before, and my goodness....don't know if I can ever go again as a "peasant" after all this royal treatment.

Ok....and then there was my sweet brother, Steven.  Who surprised us with Days of 47 Rodeo tickets at the E Center for all our birthdays! Row 5!  How did we get so lucky?
